Where does the energy for the illumination of the jeweLIGHTS come from?

From a replaceable button cell, which is discreetly hidden in the clasp. It feeds the light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and supplies the jeweLIGHTS with sufficient energy for the duration of an illuminated ball- or club-night.
